About Us
Davies and Johnson Associates has been publishing educational resources since 1996. Our resources are intended for students that have difficulty with written output. The goal of our materials is to enable students to complete tasks in chunks they can handle, in an organized format. The writing activities provided offer a variety of strategies for answering questions that allow students to demonstrate learning and comprehension.
Classroom and Learning Support teachers from across Western Canada have written the materials and include Language Arts, Social Studies, Science units. More recently, we have added some Mathematics, Counselling/Sex Education titles to our list, so that we now have more than 300 titles for Elementary to High School students.
Our philosophy is one of inclusion, as we hope our resources will allow more students that are challenged by traditional classroom assignments to experience success. In our design of writing activities we simplify language, use graphic enhancers and provide a simple organization for students to record their answers. Hopefully, our materials will save teacher preparation time while meeting the needs of students.
